FIRE FLOW TEST
Fire flow tests are required for initial occupancy, hydraulic calculation for construction, and at 5 year intervals to check the condition of underground water mains. We have specialized testing equipment to provide accurate test results to determine hydrant flow rates. These results are then graphed and the flow rate is calculated at 20PSI residual. This gives firefighters an accurate measure of flow rates available in the system for firefighting operations.
SPRING FLOW TEST & INSPECTION
During spring testing water is flown from the hydrant(s) to check for adequate fire flows, and deficiencies (if any) are detected and noted for repair. Hydrants contain potable drinking water; as such, this yearly water flow from hydrants flushes out stagnant water, rocks, and other contaminants out of your water mains. Spring is also the time of year we exercise and inspect the corresponding isolation valves.
FALL INSPECTION
At the fall inspection we pressure test the hydrants and recheck for any deficiencies, noting for any repairs that may be needed. During this inspection we also ensure there is no water left in the barrel so that the hydrant will not freeze up, becoming inoperable in winter conditions.
MAINTENENCE
Not only do we check for and repair any leaks or damages, we also ensure that: the fire hydrant contains proper food-grade grease, we provide specialized painting services to keep hydrants protected from the elements, we maintain and test the corresponding isolation valve, and much more. Our expert technicians ensure the longevity and functioning operations of your fire safety device.
FIRE HYDRANT REPAIRS
Our team of highly trained Service Technicians have over 30 years of experience. We service and repair all makes and models of fire hydrants including: McAvity, Mueller, Terminal City, AVK, and Canada Valve.
HIGH-RISE FIRE PUMP FLOW TEST
Our specialized equipment can determine if you have proper fire flows for high-rise buildings by testing the output of fire pumps.
Fire Hydrant Testing
Fire hydrants are an essential water supply for firefighting operations, so keeping your hydrants maintained and functioning properly helps save lives and property in an emergency. Every second counts; ensure you're protected today.
