BACKFLOW INSTALLATION

We install all makes and models of backflow preventers to accommodate for domestic, irrigation, fire, and boiler systems. We use the newest copper crimp technology for solder free installation.

BACKFLOW TESTING

Our highly trained and certified Service Technicians use specialized gauges to test and determine whether your backflow preventer is functioning correctly. Upon completion of tests, we then send the report to the city and a copy of the report to our client. We install test cocks and caps on all devices as needed to protect the device from external contaminants and to ensure that future tests may be completed within a timely manner for our clients.

FREQUENCY OF TESTS

Backflow devices located on domestic, irrigation, fire, and boiler systems require yearly testing.

BACKFLOW REPAIRS

Our certified technicians have the experience and training to repair all makes and models of backflows should they fail to pass testing. Repairs are required to be completed within 96 hours of the initial test as per the City of Calgary.

TYPES OF BACKFLOWS:

DCVA Double check valve- This devices has two check valves for minor to moderate hazard applications.

RP reduced pressure- This device has two check valves separated by a reduced pressure area for severe hazard applications.

Air Gap- An air gap is a vertical spacing between two pipes which serves to prevent backflow. These need to be inspected to make sure they are not bypassed.

Hose Bib Vacuum Breaker- This non-testable device is installed on hose bibs to prevent backflow.
